travel north america united states washington seattle alki beach sunfish

We did not discover this area until 2015 when I did a web search for the best fish and chips in Seattle.
Sunfish was up there along with a couple others. We made a special effort to drive out there for a late lunch.
We had been delayed and it was mid afternoon before we got there and it was virtually empty.
The interior decor was very simple and the outside looked like it was in transition... not even a sign on the building.
I ordered the fish and chips, Lynn the oysters and chips, and her mother, halibut and chips.
My fish was very good... moist and flaky, but the fries were limp.
Perhaps it was the time of day... perhaps the fryer was not as hot as normal...
We ate on the patio in the sun, a very unusually hot day for Seattle in the high 80s.
